Volunteer
Grief support group Volunteers will work with children, teen and adult support groups. All grief support group volunteers complete professional training session and a background check prior to volunteering.
Volunteers may be working on or have an educational background in counseling, social work or know from experience what grief feels like, some simply may want to gain a better understanding of grief, while others just want to help people in some significant way.
Here’s what we need your help with
- Program preparation, office help, technology, cleaning and organizing, building maintenance, sewing, crafting, building, etc.
- Fund Raising – Annual events and ongoing fundraising efforts
- Projects – For an individual or group
- Social Media Support
- Board of Directors, Program Committee Chairs, and Program Committee Members – Strategic Planning & Direction
Volunteer Requirements
We ask for a minimum of a 14 week volunteer commitment (18 hours or 1.5 hours per week four times per month for 2 months plus training).
We also require a background check and mandatory QPR and SafeTALK training.
